We
are a chapter of the Nature Center Associates of Los Angeles County,
a volunteer nonprofit corporation. Our primary concern is to develop
in children and adults an awareness and appreciation of the natural
world.
The
Nature Center Associates, through its chapters, creates and operates
interpretive programs at nature centers of natural areas administered
by the Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation.
San Dimas Canyon Nature Center Associates lead school tours, bird
walks, outreaches, as well as, raise the funds for animal food, medical
requirements and habitats. |

The annual
San Dimas Ho'olaule'a Fund Raiser combines Native Hawaiian music and dancing
with interactive crafts for kids. Funds raised benefit the animals, the
Nature Center, and its programs. |
