Animal Sanctuary
San Dimas
Nature Center is unique in that it has an enclosed wildlife sanctuary
containing live animals indigenous to Southern California. Sanctuary
is offered at the center for birds and animals that can no longer live
in their natural habitat due to circumstances of permanent injury, imprintation,
etc.
The animals
are brought to the Nature Center from such sources as; California Department
of Fish and Game, Wildlife Way Station, Humane Societies, the general
public, and other agencies. Whenever possible, they are treated, rehabilitated,
and returned to the wild.
Our Brick-by-Brick program helps to raise money to improve the animal
enclosures. The feed and care of the
animals at the Nature Center is supported purely through your generous
donations. We greatly appreciate and thank you for your support. See
donations for more information. |
